My blog is still relatively new (just about 6 months old) and so far LinkedIn groups and commenting on blogs have been the biggest drivers to my site. I do use the CommentLuv plugin and I try to follow links to posts when someone leaves a comment on my blog. I've found quite a few other bloggers that way that I'm building meaningful relationships with. They're helping me to become a better blogger.

Businesses must discover where their target audience is and go out and invite them back to their site. You can do this by locating niche communities, or using Twitter apps like Twellow and TweepML, or my personal favorite joining the DoFollow CommentLuv KeywordLuv community.

I recommend businesses do all of these and more. I write about how exactly they can do these things in my blog. The post I've featured in CommentLuv is one good place to start.

Have you considered adding KeywordLuv? The main URL field in this comment contains a link to my post about how KeywordLuv benefits us all - and especially businesses.

Writing guest blog posts is a great tip as it allows you to reach your target market through an additional means that is already familiar to you and your readers.

Writing great content that people want to share is great way to get free promotion, especially with how easy sharing has become with the advent of social media sites.

Thanks for sharing,

Karl
